Prof.G. Madhukar studied BFA Photography from the erstwhile College of Fine Arts, JNTU and studied Mass Communication and Journalism from Madurai Kamaraj University, later MFA Photography and Visual Communications from JNAFAU and presently pursuing a PhD. After working briefly with the Archeological Survey of India and ICRISAT, He joined the University as an Assistant Professor in the year 2000 and headed the Dept. of Photography from 2010 to 2018. He has involved himself in academic administration for the last several years in various capacities, as Officer-in-Charge Examinations and also as Chairman, Board of Studies for Photography. He is a Jury member / technical expert for Professional and Technical Committees related to Academics, Assessments and Recruitment of various Government Organisations. He has introduced many reforms in the academics and also in the Dept. of Photography. He conducted several competitive examinations in the capacity of Associate and Chief Superintendent. Established Computer labs, Digital Video Editing Suites. Successfully conducted workshops for Media and practising Photo journalists in collaboration with the Press Academy of Andhra Pradesh and also conducted Short–Term Certificate Courses as a Course Coordinator. Have been a Guest Faculty at Central Detective Training School, Govt. of India and National Institute of Fashion Technology. He is also an avid Wildlife Photographer. He is currently a Warden, JNAFAU Hostel since 2019, Controller of Examinations and also the Statistical & Nodal Officer of JNAFAU.
